After 6 agonizing weeks following the test – second guessing my answers and questioning whether I was really as qualified as I thought – I got confirmation in the mail.  I PASSED!  And with a pretty high score, too!  I am officially a Certified Pet Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed.  I couldn’t be more proud of passing and can’t wait to start up new classes in Taos and beyond!

At Bark Friendly, we have been actively caring for pets and training dogs for nearly 10 years.  We offer a range of services including everything from pet sitting to dog training.  Our trainers specialize in positive reinforcement training including lure-reward and clicker training methods. While not our focus, we have significant knowledge in other training methods, as well. Our training services include everything from puppy socialization and manners training to group hikes and behavior modification.

We have experience with a variety of dog breeds including, but not limited to, herding breeds, livestock guardians, mastiffs, and a number of Japanese and Russian hunting breeds.  While breed does not completely define a dog – for training purposes – it helps us to create a plan that will utilize the strengths ingrained in his DNA.

Our goal is to help build and maintain positive relationships between owner and dog.  Understanding and fulfilling the needs of your dog and appropriately managing his environment are key elements in a successful and enjoyable life with your companion.
